Farmers' protest: Fire breaks out in tent installed at Delhi's Singhu border

New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS): Amid the ongoing farmers' protest at various borders of the national capital against the three Central farm laws, a fire broke out in a tent installed at the Singhu border. However, there has been no loss of human lives reported due to the fire.

According to official information, the fire broke out at the Singhu border around 8 p.m. However, the reason for the fire is not yet known. The local people present in the tent immediately doused the fire themselves.

Sharing this information through social media, the protesting farmers said, "The news reports of fire breaking out inside a tent at the Singhu border are true, but there has been no loss of human life. All farmers are safe. The situation was brought under control immediately by them."

"Such an incident is not new to the farmer organisations. The farmers have been sitting on the roads in Delhi for last 11 months and have faced all kinds of hardships both due to intense heat and cold wave. Even incidents of such nature on the day of Diwali could not dampen the spirit of the farmers."

The farmers organisations have been continuously protesting against the three contentious farm laws. Although there have been reports of such fire incidents at various borders in Delhi before but no major incident has occurred till now.

Nothing but Sabotage. The BJP Govt has made a mockery of Parlimentary Democracy by passing these Farm Bills without any discussion in the house or taken any Parlimentary bodies into confidence. It is clear to the people of our country that these three farm bills was a dubious case of match fixing by Modi and Amit Shah for their crony capitalists friends like Ambani and Adani. The elaborate advance preparations , go downs, super markets, land acquisitions and other arrangements by industrialists Abmani and Adani are already in the public domain. These crony capitalists will then dominate the agriculture sector and render the farmers vulnerable and vanquished. . They finally passed it in the Rajya Sabha in a most deceitful manner through a voice vote just to please their Crony Capitalist friends at the expense of the Farmers. A Suit Boot Ki Sarkar that is totally insensitive, Callous, Indifferent, Arrogant and Autocratic that cares two hoots for the lower sections of our society including farmers. "Since Independence, it is for the first time that an arrogant government has come to power. It is not even looking at the pain and sufferings of farmers, forget about the common man,"If Agriculture is a State subject the why has the center passed Bills on Farm Laws on Agriculture

Why are the farmers still protesting being this the second year of their protest ? BJP (Modi) govt will pay with their seat for this inhuman treatment to the poor Annadaata. Stop this cruelty, do what they say. They are not like Modi, Choksey, Mallya, they are shedding their seat to fill our stomach .

Meaning, you have no problem to taking packed products from Birla/Ambanis for more than double the price than you get in regular gunny bags ? Do you remember that Aditya Birla group conned Karnataka farmers by paying just one rupee more per quintal than they are paid at regular Mandis ? Our farmers were made to be bound by an agreement that they will not sell their produce to any other party. You have to be enemy of one, friend of the other. How can you befriend BJP government's agents and backstab the farmers ?
