Mangaluru: St Agnes P U College holds parent-teacher meet for II PUC students

Mangaluru, Nov 9: A meeting of the parents of the II PU students was arranged at the college auditorium of St Agnes PU College. The objective of the meeting was to acquaint them of the various activities of the college and to review the performance of the students in studies.

The programme began with the prayer through a power point presentation. Dr Caroline Dsouza, Neuro psychiatrist was the chief guest of the programme. The principal Sr Norine DSouza A C welcomed her with a floral bouquet.

Likhitha from the department of Biology welcomed the parents formally and introduced the chief guest to them. Dr Caroline DSouza addressed the parents and spoke to them about the role of parents towards their children during examinations. She mentioned the consequences of stress that they go through. She enlightened them about managing stress and gave few tips on understanding the problems of students and handling it.

At the end of the programme Sr Norine Dsouza A C, principal of the institution addressed the gathering. She briefed the parents about online and offline classes and activities conducted during the period of this pandemic. She informed them about the rules and regulations followed in the college. She also insisted on downloading the college app in their phone in order to review the marks and attendance details of their child. Finally Sr Norine Dsouza A C rendered vote of thanks.

All the parents then reviewed the performance of the students in the examinations conducted by the college as they met various subject teachers and academic coordinators. They interacted with the parents and students together. All the parents found this session very helpful, as they could analyse the progress of their ward and seek few suggestions to improve.
