Mangaluru, Nov 9: Diwali was celebrated at Carmel School, Mangaluru in a grand style. Students of class 4 have taken the initiative to mark the joy of the day.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp which was followed by a meaningful prayer service. Amina Fathima Asif welcomed the gathering. The fusion dance and melodious song made the programme a colourful one. The highlight of the programme was the message given by the students on the measures to be taken while bursting the crackers.

The co-ordinator Sr Shanthi Laveena presided over the programme. Insha Khadeeja and Athuf Hajara Anas compered the programme and Manvi Chowta proposed the vote of thanks.
