Kuwait: Educational Scholarship Awards for Goan Students - Applications Invited

Kuwait, Nov 10:
Goan Cultural Centre-Kuwait, a registered organization with the Embassy of India-Kuwait has announced that educational scholarship prizes will be awarded to Goan students of standard X and standard XII who secured the highest and second highest aggregate marks at the CBSE examination conducted last year (2009-10) in their respective Indian schools in Kuwait.

The awards will carry a cash prize and a citation. Only students of Goan origin are eligible to apply for the awards. All those who qualify for the awards are requested to submit their application along with photocopies of marks sheet (CBSE board), copies of the passport, and a photograph, together with their telephone contacts and parents' names, latest by November 13, hand delivered to the committee members of the Goan Cultural Centre-Kuwait.

The educational scholarships will be presented during the upcoming Global Goans Convention 2010 to be held on November 16 and 17 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Farwaniya, organized under the patronage of Eduardo Faleiro, commissioner for NRI affairs, government of Goa, and Ajai Malhotra, ambassador of India to the State of Kuwait.  The Convention is open to all Goans.
