Mangalore, Nov 12: Condemning the recent remarks made by former RSS chief Sudarshan against Sonia Gandhi, M G Hegde, spokesperson of Congress demanded apology from him for the same.
He was speaking at the protest held by DYCC members in front of the DC’s office on Friday November 12.
Sudarshan reportedly held Sonia Gandhi responsible for the assassinations of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi.
“Sudarshan who has said nasty things against Sonia must apologize failing which legal proceedings will be initiated against him for his derogatory remarks”, Hedge urged and added that its time for RSS to decide whether to do politics or to remain as a Hindu volunteer organization in the nation.
Hegde further said that congress is not doing any favoritism for minorities as alleged in the recent RSS protest, where as BJP is not a supporter of Hindus as it is labeled and saffron brigade is not showing any unhappiness over Narendra Modi even after he demolished 80 temples in the name of development. The BJP still has to battle its communal reputation in Karnataka as major areas of worry like the Datta Peeta issue is not addressed by the government.
Referring to the Bhatkal MLA U Chittaranjan murder on April 10, 1996, he asked the BJP leaders why they denied CBI inquiry on the murder case. Ivan D’Souza, district Congress vice-president said that RSS is disturbing the social peace in the nation with its nasty remarks.
