ID Shukla named Goa DGP, MK Meena transferred back to Delhi


New Delhi, Nov 17 (IANS): M.K. Meena (IPS), who was serving as the Director General of Police in Goa, was transferred back to Delhi on Wednesday, just six months after he was sent to serve the coastal state.

Replacing Meena, the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed 1995-batch IPS officer ID Shukla as the new DGP of Goa. Shukla was serving as Special Commissioner of Police in Delhi Police.

Before his stint with the Delhi Police, Shukla had served in Goa as North Goa SP for many years.
