Pak PM Imran Khan my 'elder brother', says Sidhu

Chandigarh, Nov 20 (IANS): Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday addressed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan as his 'elder brother'.

He made the statement while interacting with the CEO of the Kartarpur project in Pakistan.

He was in Kartarpur along with several Punjab cabinet ministers to pay obeisance in Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara.

Sidhu also said he has lots of love for the Pakistan Prime Minister.

Responding to Sidhu's remarks, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya slammed the Congress high-command for favouring 'Pakistan loving Sidhu over veteran Amarinder Singh'.

"Rahul Gandhi's favourite Navjot Singh Sidhu calls Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan his "bada bhai". Last time he had hugged Gen Bajwa, Pakistan Army's Chief, heaped praises.

"Is it any surprise that the Gandhi siblings chose a Pakistan loving Sidhu over veteran Amarinder Singh?," asked Malviya.

In 2018, Sidhu raked a controversy when he hugged Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa during his visit to Pakistan for Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony

It is definitely better to be friends with our neighbors than nurse enmity all the time. To start with we need to be broadminded and embrace peace and friendship.

All Pakistanis are closest relatives of Indians, Pakistanis are children of Proud Punjabis, Intelligent Bengalis, Decedents of Urdu, Hindi & Kashmiri people of India, sons & daughters of people of Telangana, Konkani speaking people of western coastal areas of India. Dissidents of Santana Dharma and Grate Hindu culture. India should respect & honor all Pakistanis as it own and call them brothers and sisters.

If tables were turned and this was told by some bjp leader people would've pounced on bjp. No wonder the congress party is in a coffin. They selected a joker who knows only to jump seats instead of a veteran who served this country

Daniel ? You indeed are ? Nevertheless, no matter whom Congress makes it's members, at no time the party saw the condition of India that is today. Your party leader started by asking the then young graduates to sell Pakoda for a living and today there are much more jobless youth than that were there when he asked them to make Pakoda. The GDP reached below Zero in the rule of dynamic PM, which was 8.5% at the time Congress ceased to rule. What if Sidhu sees a big brother in Imran Khan ? They are birds of similar feathers, CRICKETERS. Who knows what rapport the players share when they are in the same profession ? Regardless, I'm sure it's not as affectionate as going to one's birthday party uninvited, being a enemy nation's PM.
