Air India Flight Suffers Tyre Burst, Passengers Safe


Lucknow, Nov 15 (IANS) An Air India flight arriving here from Mumbai suffered a tyre burst during landing at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here Monday, but all passengers on board were safe, an official said.

"Air India Flight IC-195 had a tyre burst during landing this afternoon. All the passengers have been safely deplaned," Airport director Atul Dixit told reporters here.

"The exact cause behind the tyre burst is to be ascertained," he added.

No official statement was issued by Air India, sources at the airport said. There were around 120 passengers in the plane at the time of the accident.
