100 Lashes for Lovers Who Had Sex

Sharjah, Nov 16 (IANS) A Filipina housemaid and her Bangladeshi boyfriend will be given 100 lashes each, jailed for a year and then deported for having illicit sex, a court in the United Arab Emirates has ruled.

The Sharjah Sharia Court ordered the lashing of the housemaid - known only as N.M. - and her lover - known as M.M. - for entering the house of the woman's sponsor without permission for sex, the Gulf News reported.

N.M. brought her boyfriend to her sponsor's house each time the family was not at home. The woman's sponsor told the court that he saw the lover once leaving the house.

The sponsor informed police who arrested both of them.

According to Sharia law, Muslims who commit adultery will be lashed and deported if they are expatriates.

    Yes, there so much crimes happening in Middle east/gulf. When its done by outsiders, then the news comes out in the paper. If its done by any local it will never be published in the paper.Law should be same for everyone.

    "I condemn sin and not the sinner". I am appalled at the open double standards that are practiced in the Middle East.
    There are tens of hundreds of mainly Westerners who have not been legally married in any way, shape or form but are living together as common law. Who dare point a finger or even say word, leave alone lashing, aren’t they not committing openly and publicly adultery?

    The court caught and sentenced the poor and downtrodden lovers. They dare to catch and convict rulers, their sons and daughters having illicit and immoral sex.

    Arab news of Saudi Arabia. Date 05/11/2010 EXPAT ADBDUCTED, RAPED NEAR TAIF. Taif: Police here are investigating the abduction, robbery and rape of an Indonesian man near a highway south of the city the early hours of Monday. The victim who was reportedly in his 30s, was waiting for a taxi on t highway close to Al Sauta when a car with two young Saudi men pulled over and offered him a ride. After the man accepted the ride he was driven to a remote location 60 km away from Taif. The man claims the Saudis stripped him, sodomized him took SR. 1500 and a mobile phone and left him there naked. The man walked nude to a work camp in the village of Sudariah where he was given clothing and means to inform police. Police are investigating another roadside robbery of another expatriate close to where the Abduction took place.

    These people like sodomies.
