Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (MS)

Mumbai, Nov 26: Recently 40 passengers bound for Dubai were stopped at the international airport for submitting fake test reports of rapid RTPCR tests.

All passengers going to Dubai have to undergo two RTPCR test. One within 48 hours of departure and the other just six hours before departure from the airport. While the first one is relatively cheaper at Rs 1,000 per person, the rapid test carried out at the airport costs Rs 4500.

According to reliable sources at the airport, passengers need to submit the reports with proper QR codes to scan the details of the passengers. The details on report of 40 passengers did not match and they were withheld at the airport itself and not allowed to board the scheduled flight.

After this incident, the airport authorities stopped home collection of samples as well as pre-registration facilities for the passengers. The airport authorities have a dedicated gate no 8 for all Dubai bound passengers who have to undergo the rapid test.
