Jammu, Nov 17 (IANS) The wife and father-in-law of a Pakistani militant, who belongs to the Hizbul Mujahideen and was nabbed in New Delhi after a brief gunfight three days ago, have been arrested in Jammu and Kashmir, police said Wednesday.
The houses of Abdullah Inquilabi's relatives in Rajouri district of Jammu region were raided Tuesday night after the militant revealed during interrogation that his wife Shehnaz Akhtarand and father-in-law Bashir Ahmad were aware of his plans in Delhi.
"The duo was arrested and is being questioned," a police official told IANS.
The Delhi Police, which was helped by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in nabbing the militant, has been interrogating him and is reported to have got some vital information about his plans in the Indian capital.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, too, had sought the custody of the terrorist to interrogate him about his role in the killings in Rajouri and Reasi belt of Jammu region.
"But for the time being, the custody has been denied to the state police," a police source said.
Inquilabi, police said, is involved in at least 20 killings as also a number of abductions.
