Mangaluru, Nov 27: City North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty congratulated the police department for successfully cracking the Naga Bana desecration case.
Addressing the media on Saturday November 27, he said, “I thank the police department for cracking the case. I even thank Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike for their peaceful protests demanding the arrest of the accused.
“The Kavoor stabbing incident also was solved soon. There were several incidents of attacks on religious structures including desecration which has hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

“As elections are approaching in less than 2 years, I suspect political conspiracy behind this by the opposition. We also urge to arrest those who helped in the unholy act through financial support. As per information, one of the arrested accused belongs to a political leader’s family. When we see the entire issue, we suspect it to be a political conspiracy,” he said.
BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri expressed confidence of bagging majority seats in the upcoming MLC elections.
“We are sure of winning more than 15 seats. Three contestants from BJP are contesting the elections. There are 6,000 voters in which 3,700 are from the BJP in the district. The preparations for elections are in full swing,” he said.
