2 soldiers killed in NW Pakistan's check post attack


Islamabad, Nov 28 (IANS): Two soldiers were killed in a check post attack in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said the Army in a statement .

The terrorists, whose identities were not revealed by the statement released by the military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations, targeted the check post in North Waziristan district of the province, located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The attack triggered off an intense exchange of fire in which two soldiers were killed and no loss of life at the terrorists' side was mentioned in the statement, Xinhua news agency reported.

"Search of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found," the statement added.
