Rajya Sabha Mourns Victims of Delhi Building Collapse


New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha Thursday mourned the deaths of 69 people in the building collapse in east Delhi.

As the house assembled for the day, Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan paid homage to those who died in the building collapse. The chair extended condolences and sympathy to the families who lost their near and dear ones.

"The loss of so many lives is unfortunate," Rahman said wishing the injured speedy recovery, shortly before the house was adjourned for the day over the 2G spectrum scam.

The house observed a minute's silence for the victims.

As many as 69 people were killed and 82 injured when a five-storey building collapsed in Lalita Park locality of east Delhi Monday night.
