Omicron variant scare: Booster shots given to residents of Dubai, Abu Dhabi

Dubai, Nov 30: Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai began giving booster doses to residents in the midst of the Omicron variant of Covid.

Booster shots of Pfizer-BioNTech have to be taken after the second dose of vaccine for Covid-19 for those who are above 18 years of age according to the health authority of Dubai emirate. Abu Dhabi also asked its residents to take the booster shots.

Flights to Southern African countries are cancelled by many countries following the detection of Omicron variant of Covid in those countries. Foreigner are not allowed to enter Israel for next two weeks.
