Bangalore, Nov 20: It is gathered that crores of rupees have been deposited into the accounts of B Y Raghavendra and B Y Vijayendra, sons of Chief Minister (CM), B S Yeddyurappa, and R N Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of the CM. The total sums received through unexplained credits to their accounts so far, has been put at Rs 20 crore. While the amounts put in Raghavendra's account has been put at ten crore rupees, five crore rupees each were credited to the accounts of Vijayendra and Sohan Kumar respectively, reports say.
It is gathered that the said amount was credited to the account of Raghavendra maintained with State Bank of Mysore, Shikaripura branch, on August 11, 25, and 31 this year, in installments. South West Mining Ltd in Toranagal, Bellary district, made these remittances, it is gathered. While the remittance made on August 11 was of five crore rupees, two and half crore rupees each were credited on August 25 and 31 respectively, to Raghavendra’s account. On the same dates, two and half crore rupees, and Rs 1.25 crore each, were remitted to Vijayendra’s account with State Bank of Mysore Vinobanagar branch. Interestingly, these remittances were also made by the same company.
A total sum of five crore rupees was also deposited into the account of Sohan Kumar with State Bank of Mysore, Vijayanagar II Phase in Bangalore, on August 11, 25, and 31, reports said.
The purpose for which these amounts were remitted by the company in question is yet to be ascertained and investigated. As the issue has got public attention now, the executives of the company are expected to reveal the details soon.
Talking to the media about this fresh revelation, Congress leader, Ugrappa, demanded for the arrest of the Chief Minister's family members.
