Mangalore: Books on Narayana Guru and Kudroli Temple, Released

Mangalore, Nov 22: A function to release two Kannada books, titled ‘Brahmasri Narayana Guru Mattu Sri Kshetra Kudroli’, and ‘Brahmasri Narayana Guru’, authored by Nekkidapuni Gopalakrishna, was held at the Glass House within Kudroli Lord Gokarnanatha Temple in the city on Sunday November 21. The programme was organized under the aegis of Brahmasri Narayana Guru Publications and Charitable Trust, which has published these books. Former union minister, B Janardan Poojary, released them.
Addressing the gathering after releasing the works, Poojary hailed Narayana Guru for his ideal of unifying the human kind, and Kudroli Temple, for having emerged as a model religious centre in the entire country. He said that the principles Narayana Guru had stood for, have become the guiding light for the entire world now. He added that the new books by Gopalakrishna, written with the specific purpose of spreading the ideals of Narayana Guru and Kudroli temple, have special significance.
Stayanandateertha Swamijii of Shivagiri Mutt, Kerala, delivered benedictory address. Retired judge, K Surumaran, renowned litterateur, Dr Amrit Someshwar, and Harikrishna Bantwal, member of Kudroli Temple Development Committee, participated as chief guests. Registrar of Mangalore University, Dr K Chinnappa Gowda, presided. Dr Anasuya Salian and B T Salian, who have translated these works into English, Venkat Rao, who has translated them into Malayalam, Trust president, D S Sadanand, and secretary, K Vaman, were present.
Author, Nekkidapuni Gopalakrishna, welcomed. Lecturer, Nalina Pramod, presented the programme.
