Mangaluru: MCC Bank holds annual performance review

Mangaluru, Dec 11: The annual performance review - 2021 of the Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd (MCC Bank) was held on Saturday December 11 at Milagres Senate hall. The meeting began with a prayer led by staff Karen Crasta and Shiny Lasrado.

The programme was inaugurated by Fr J B Saldanha, parish priest of Bejai church by lighting the lamp.

Fr J B Saldanha was honoured on the occasion of his appointment as the public relation officer of Mangalore diocese and also as the spiritual director of Catholic Sabha, Central Council, Mangalore diocese.

Speaking during the occasion Fr J B Saldanha, wished good luck to all and expressed his happiness to be here with MCC Bank family. He emphasised the necessity of professional approach in modern day banking and called upon the staff members to be more proactive towards the needs of the customers and to render ‘royal service’ to all the customers irrespective of their financial status, caste, creed etc.

MCC Bank chairman Anil Lobo presided over the programme. He in his presidential address called upon the staff to canvass for the products and services of the bank and to give more importance to recovery of loan. Day to day recovery is the need of the hour.

He also congratulated the best performing branches for their excellent efforts and performance and called upon the other branches to follow their footsteps.

General manager Sunil Menezes, presented the growth of financial year 2020-21 and briefed the future plans of the bank for the year 2021-22. He analysed the past growth for the year 2020-21. He emphasized that the staff should give more importance to the growth of the bank especially credit portfolio and needs to promote bank products to achieve the future goals.

Director Irene Rebello in her talk on 'Professional Approach in Banking', called upon the staff of MCC Bank to enhance their personality, which in turn will help the Bank to grow with steady pace. As the staff members are paid for their service to the institution (Bank), it is the duty of the staff members to work for the progress and enhancement of the Bank.

Retired staff of the bank, Vilma Serrao Nee Pais, who retired after serving the bank for 35 years was felicitated by the management and staff members of the Bank, with a letter of honour, memento, flower bouquet and gifts. 'Letter of Honour' was read by Hampankatta branch manager, Blanche Fernandes.

Best performance branch awards were bagged by Kankanady, Kulshekar, Surathkal and Ullal branches with flower bouquet, memento and cash prize.

Staff celebrating golden birthday this year were also congratulated and felicitated with flower bouquet and Memento.

Directors D J Patrao, Anil Patrao, David D'Souza, Herold Monteiro, Andrew D’souza, Marcel D'Souza, Dr Freeda F D'Souza, Irene Rebello, professional directors C G Pinto were present.

On the occasion of Christmas celebration, gifts of kuswar and cake was distributed to all the staff.

Deputy general manager, Raj Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. Credit manager Deril Lasrado welcomed and compered the programme.
