Yeddy Speaks
Addressing a press conference after meeting Gadkari, Yeddyurappa said that the national leadership of the party has reposed faith in him and that the BJP leaders have given their blessings to him to continue as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. He claimed that this decision was backed by the fact that under him, the state had made tremendous progress.
“I have explained everything to the high command. I have always worked sincerely for the development of the state. I have been a victim of baseless allegations. I will show my clout in the coming taluk and zilla panchayat elections,” he added.
CM's Continual Insult to Who Busted Scams - KPCC Prez
In the meanwhile, addressing a press conference in Bangalore, state Congress president, Parameshwar, while appreciating the media for laying bare the scams, lamented the decision of the BJP high command to save the Chief Minister.
“It is an insult to those who busted the scams. The BJP high command has bowed before Yeddyurappa. The Lokayukta has already said that the formation of a commission to deal with land scams is meaningless, as the Lokayukta itself is dealing with such cases, he said.
Our party will continue to fight against BJP’s corrupt practices all over the state, and will continue to bring out details of more and more scams involving them in future. We are sure that judicial investigation will be of no use. If the Chief Minister is sincere, he should order Central Bureau of Investigation probe instead of judicial one,” he added.
