Puttur, Dec 13: It is said that a backhoe was used to forcibly enter the land belonging to another person where the earth was dug up forcibly. This happened at Enjiradka in Bajathur village near Uppinangady.

Ameena, who is said to be the real owner of the said land, questioned the person for trespassing her property, reportedly was attacked with a cudgel. Ameena (77), who suffered injuries, is being treated in Puttur hospital.

The person who has been accused of hitting the lady happens to be B H Abubakker from Bajathur Volalu. A case has been registered in this connection in Uppinangady police station.
