India Prepared to Tackle 26/11 Type Attacks: Air Chief


New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) The country is "much better prepared" to tackle terror strikes like the November 2008 Mumbai attack, Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik said Thursday.

"As a country, we are now much better prepared (to fight Mumbai-type terror attacks)," the Indian Air Force chief said here.

Naik was speaking on the sidelines of a two-day international workshop organised by Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS).

His comments come a day ahead of the second anniversary of the Nov 26-29 terror attacks in Mumbai that killed 166 people.
