Moshu, Christian scriptures are based on love, are the most widely accepted scriptures around the world even in Islamic world. The next Christian country in the ME will be Iran. In neighboring Afghanistan thousands of Hazaras have converted to Christianity. The Holy bible though it is banned in some Islamic countries, it is the most sought after book to be read. Accordingly to Al Jazeera TV 16,000 Muslims around the world are becoming Christians every day. Even Zakir Naik the scumbag preacher in one of his shows was advising his audience not to immigrate to the US, and the reason he gave was 25% of Muslim children born in the US, do not practice Islam. Don't believe me, you can search for those videos on Youtube and see for yourself.

The basic constitution of Humans and all life forms is love ..All religions reemphasizes it . But the problem in Christianity is they have used it as a political tool to control nations . Killing independent advanced cultures .. They killed millions of people to spread this so called message of love ,in africa ,in europe ,in south America and in India (during the Portuguese and British invasion of goa/india).. It is the same problem in all religions ..Islam to Christianity ..They are aggressive in conversion ..The Hindus are only reacting to what is thrown at them . The only chance of liberation is through the deep understanding of vedas ,upanishads .Many in the west are turning towards Indian culture . My personal belief is that humans should wake up themselves ,without any support of religion ,culture or other nonsense that is thrown at us from the outside. to understand what is our original nature. When we classify ourselves as belonging to that religion or this religion ,we go against humanity and foster our ego and not allowing love to blossom unconditionally.

Sense Shetty, You first need to make a clear understanding of the two MOST important things, and distinguish the difference between them i.e 1. An ideology (it may be Christianity, Hinduism, Islam or anything else, as every people have a declared ideology or a hidden one) 2. People or human beings (who claim to adhere to Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, etc. etc.) In the case of Christianity, the ideology is of love, but some of the people are definitely not following their religion. Hence, they could be classified as professing Christians, but practicing anti Christian. It is simply they do not follow the teachings of Christ. Misbehaving Christians does not mean that Christianity is violent, but those people who committed those access have wronged humanity are not following the teachings of Christ. Hope you understand the difference.

As there is a high percentage of Dalits in Punjab compared to other Indian States, this announcement may encourage Dalits eventually to embrace Christianity - possibly this is the goal of the CM who may embrace that religion once he is out of office.
