Bantwal: General health check-up camp held at Carmel College

Bantwal, Dec 20: A free general health check up camp for public was organized by NSS and Youth Red Cross units of Carmel College, Modankap at college campus in association with Lions Club, Bantwal. Health check up was done by 13 members of Fr Mullers Multispeciality Hospital,Thumbay under the initiative of Dr Joyce Mendonsa, assistant professor, Father Muller Hospital, Mangaluru.

Free medical examination under six departments general medicine, skin, Eye, OBG, Dental and Ortho along with free blood sugar, blood pressure tests were provided by the hospital. Chief guest Dr Joyce Mendonsa, assistant professor, Father Muller Hospital, Mangaluru inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. Lions Club vice president Ln Umesh Acharya thanked the college for it's continuous co-operation with the lions club in their service activity.

Prajna NSS leader was the master of ceremony and Madhura, NSS officer delivered vote of thanks. Carmel Institutions joint secretary Sr Maria Priya A C, Carmel Composite P U principal Sr Naveena A C, Degree college principal Dr Sr Latha AC, Lions club secretary Ln Dheeraj H, NSS officer Madhura and YRC unit officer Vinitha were present on the dias.

More than 200 people obtained benefit from the health camp. Free health card facility was also provided by the hospital at camp site.
