Mangaluru: Cadets take oath to NCC unit at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Dec 22: Milagres College, Mangaluru is proud of having another feather on its cap indeed anew milestone with the establishment of National Cadet Corps unit after a long wait.

The first programme of the NCC unit that is taking oath as NCC army wing SD/SW, pledge ceremony was held on December 22, 2021.

LT Col Amitabh Singh, ADM officer, 18 KarBn NCC, was the chief guest of the programme. In his message he said that NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of our nation bringing together the youth from different parts of our country and molding them into united secular and discipline citizens of our nation. He also briefed about the core values and objectives of NCC.

Fr Michael L Santhumayor presided over the programme. He expressed words of gratitude to the army officers and congratulated the newly joined first batch of cadets. Denzil Edrod Pinto, care taker NCC unit, administered the oath to the cadets. Sub Maj Raju Gunny, Sub Jeewan Singh, Krishna were the other dignitaries of the programme.

Total of 17 newly selected cadets were present.
