Mangaluru, Dec 24: The Annual general body meeting for the year 2020-21 of Indian Dental Association, Dakshina Kannada Branch was held on December 23, 2021 at Hotel Maaya international, Mangaluru. The annual report for the last year was read out secretary Dr Bharath Prabhu. Dr Prasanna, treasurer read out the financial report for the past year which was approved by the members.

The immediate outgoing president Dr Jithesh Ajila in his speech mentioned how the association had helped people during the pandemic by creating awareness. He also mentioned about other activities during his tenure. He wished the very best to the new office bearers.

Taking over as president for the association Dr Padmaraj Hegde, in his speech mentioned about how the association has helped dentists in the district. He also urged private dental practitioners in the Dakshina kannada district to enrol themselves, so that they actively take part in the association activities. Dr.Padmaraj Hegde is currently the Head of the department, deparment of Maxillofacial Surgery, A B Shetty Dental College.
