Hassan, Dec 3: Minister for social welfare and prisons A Narayanaswamy has blamed officials for the recent rift between Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj and the state over the issue of release of 594 prisoners.

He was speaking to presspersons in Hagare in Belur here Thursday December 2. He said that there were discrepancies in the report prepared and submitted by the officials which led to Governor denying permission to release the 594 prisoners on the day of Independence.

The officials needs to be blamed and not the governor,” he clarified. A new list of prisoners to be released would be prepared and submitted to the Governor at the earliest and the government would try that they
would be released by the year-end, he added.

    It shows how much irresposible you are....r u a minister? All you put a blame on governor now how can you change your stand? it is really a adjustment inbetween governor and you people......shame on you guys.....definetly you people will damage the BJP for ever in Karnataka.......

    Why the BJP government is very much interested in releasing the prisoners.Can we beleive that there are important BJP members in Jail and BJP need them to save the government?.There were so many requests made to the cases of church attack issue but the BJP is not showing interest.
