Mangalore: Yakshagana Mandali to be Inaugurated on Dec 4

Mangalore, Dec 3: Chamundeshwari Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Mandali formerly known as Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Mandali will be inaugurated at Purathana Mariyamma Temple, Suratkal here on Saturday December 4.

Chitrapur Durgaparameshwari Temple chief priest B N Subrahmanya Bhat will inaugurate and Coastal Developmental Authority chairman B Nagraj Shetty will preside.

Syndicate Bank founder member N V Achar, Suratkal NITK former principal B R Samaga, Chandappa Gurikara and Shartah Kumar Kadri among others will be the chief guests.

The 28-year-old mandali was started in the name Yakshakoota Suratkal and mainly involves youth in the art.
