Mysore, Dec 5: The Jawarharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) authorities have decided to hold a monthly JNNURM adalat henceforth to make up for the delay in implementation of the projects.

District in-charge minister S A Ramdas informed this at a review meeting held on Saturday December 4. Minister Ramdas admitting the delay in the project launched in 2005, said the remaining works would be taken up on a war footing and progress monitored on a monthly basis through JNNURM adalat.

The meeting was convened by MP A H Vishwanath who urged all stakeholders, including officials and elected representatives, to forget their differences and make the best possible use of the funds.

Mysore, though eligible to secure around Rs 1834 crore under the project, will now have to be content with around Rs 1,330 crore due to the collective failure of the political establishment and bureaucracy in planning in accordance with city development plan.
