Mangaluru, Jan 3: MLA U T Khader held a press conference along with the leaders of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) and expressed opposition to investigation by COD.

Khader urged to hold inquiry into the incident by sitting or retired district judge. Khader said, “COD inquiry is just eye wash. Justice will not be served. They are trying to fool the Koraga community. Is it possible to expect justice from the police as they themselves have conducted the atrocity? We will not agree with the inquiry by COD.

“Different minister are giving different statements. Home minister himself has agreed that police have committed atrocity. His own department and he says that they have committed wrong. Let him say what compensation they will give for the wrong doing of the police. If this same incident had taken place in some other district, what would have been the situation of the government?” he said.
