If I Open My Mouth, Mulayam will be in Jail: Amar Singh

Bhadohi (UP), Dec 5 (PTI): Expelled leader Amar Singh today said he was associated with the Samajwadi Party for 14 long years and if he would open his mouth, SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav would land in jail.

"If I open my mouth, a number of people will be in trouble and Mulayam Singh Yadav will land himself behind bars," he told reporters here.

"I have spent 14 years in the Samajwadi Party," said Amar Singh, currently undertaking a march to mobilise support for creation of a separate Purvanchal state to be carved out of Uttar Pradesh.

The Lok Manch founder also reacted to the remark of prominent Muslim leader Azam Khan who rejoined the Samajwadi Party yesterday.

Returning to the parent party, Khan, who was expelled from the SP a year ago on charges of anti-party activities, had described Amar Singh as an "agent and a supplier".

Amar Singh said Mulayam Singh Yadav should tell him what he had supplied.

"What I had supplied to whom Mulayam Singh knows it better," he said.

Cine star-MP Jaya Prada also lashed out at Azam Khan alleging his men had distributed her obscene pictures and used abusive language against her during the Lok Sabha election last year.

"The country will never forgive such persons," she said.
