Amrita Patel Elected to Global Dairy Panel


Ahmedabad, Dec 6 (IANS) Amrita Patel, chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), has become the first Indian to be elected to the board of the International Dairy Federation (IDF), a statement issued here Monday said.

The announcement of her election was made at the recently-concluded 98th general assembly of IDF in Auckland, New Zealand.

IDF was established in 1903 and has 57 nations as its members. It provides scientific expertise and knowledge for development of milk and dairy products.
