Kuwait, Dec 7: Buntara Sangha, Kuwait organized ‘Karnataka Maithri Family Picnic – 2010’ recently at Mishref Garden.

BSK president A Karunakar Shetty welcomed the members and the invitees. The programme began with a march-past by all the participants.

The crowd of about 800-900 people from all over Karnataka enjoyed different types of sports/games for all the age groups from kids to adults in games like kabbaddi, volley ball, throw ball, breaking the pot, sack race, drawing the tail, crossing the bottle, ladies cricket etc.

The main attraction of the event was the traditional ‘Mosaru Kudike/Govindaa’ and ‘Tarai Katta.’

After the delicious lunch, games continued till the evening. The committee members, guests and the co-sponsors distributed the prizes to the winners.

The programme was managed by sports secretary Praveen Chandra Rai, assisted by his sportive team and beautifully anchored by Shalini Vijay Shetty and Sanat Kumar Shetty. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the secretary.
