New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS): Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modis security breach during his Punjab visit on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that repeated rejection by people have driven the Congress to the path of insanity.

Shah also said that such dereliction of security procedures in the Prime Minister's visit is totally unacceptable, for which accountability will be fixed.

In a series of tweets, Shah said, "Today's Congress-made happening in Punjab is a trailer of how this party thinks and functions. Repeated rejections by the people have taken them to the path of insanity. The topmost echelons of the Congress owe an apology to the people of India for what they have done."

"The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a detailed report on today's security breach in Punjab. Such dereliction of security procedure in the Prime Minister's visit is totally unacceptable and accountability will be fixed," Shah added.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said that Modi's security was breached during his visit to Punjab today. Taking cognisance of the security breach, the MHA has sought a detailed report from the state government. The MHA also asked the Punjab government to fix responsibility for the lapse and take strict action in the matter.

Prime Minister Modi was visiting Ferozepur in Punjab to lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth more than Rs 42,750 crore. The Prime Minister cancelled his scheduled visit to Ferozepur at the last minute due to a security breach.

    When I read the comments, I really dont understand whether Dakishna Kannada district which is considered to be a place where highly intellectual prople reside are realy literate as claimed. In general comments are totally one sided prejudicial. Among the comments,let me refer to Car value of Rs 12 cr. , It is exagratted figure. As per goverement notification it is around Rs 4cr. Neither Me. Modi requested for purchase nor he will keep the car for his personal use other than government duties. This car is for the security of Indian Prime Minister. If tomorrow Rahul, Priyanka or Mamatha occupies that postion than they will be using that car. Coming to EVM, , being an Indian we should be proud of it, our invention excuted during Congress rule.Has made made election free of rowdisam.Blaming BJP is simply showing ignorance or idiocracy

    That's true. Congress is power only in 2 states. Punjab and Rajastan. They will loose Rajastan next year and will loose 2024 as well. Rahul gandhi will go back and settle down in Italy after 2024.

    12 crore on new mercedes maybach ..full SPG security ..got helicopter then why he decides to go by road ? ,, answer is no one was there in rally, BJP tried to ferry people by bus and in the end jumla was created to say road was blocked .. ..farmers will have their revenge in UP , Punjab and haryana ..56 inch got scared and ran for his life for just a road block ..first time in 70 years a PM has run off complaining treat on his life ..mind you he is the same person who gave a press conference on the mumbai road when terrorist were inside the Israeli synagogue fighting with security persons ..so that world can watch him ..a perfect opportunist who will do anything to keep him in power ..

    Mr. Shah, can you explain why you are ferrying the P M to campaign for state elections ? Does he have no important job, and don't states have local leaders to canvas for the state ? This is the difference in Congress and BJP. MMS never came or came only once whenever a state went to elections but Modi went more that 8 times to UP. Why ? BJP is living in fear of losing it's crown. Not necessarily to Congress, it's in fear of sitting in opposition if a hung assembly will be created by people who don't like the dictatorship of Shah/Modi

    Dear Amit goonda, you have no right to comment on Congress. You are a tritor, cheatrer and daku. You were arrested under goonda act and was kicked out of your own state. You came back to your state after you were able to get a seat in bjp by chaplusi. You have looted our money and your son has become crorepati due to your influence. He was zero couple of years back. I urge ED to raid property of Shah family and check for illegal transactions.

    This guy proclaimed that only TMC supremo Mamatha Banerjee will be left in the party during his election campaign last year, what happened after the election results is crystal clear to everyone. This goonda shah is only meant for jumla. same results will follow in all the other states in the coming election. WB is an exemplary on that regards.
