Mangalore: Sacred Hearts School Celebrates Annual Day with Gusto

Mangalore, Dec 8:  ‘Love, compassion, kindness, respect, cooperation and co-ordination will be attained through integrated educational activities’, said Sr Rose Celine, secretary of Bethany Educational Society.



 
She was speaking on the occasion of Annual Day celebration at Sacred Hearts’ School, Kulshekar, here on Monday December 6. She added that school is a temple of learning. She lauded the students who won at the state level netball and athletic events and wished them all the success at the national level.

The students exhibited their talents through variety of cultural programmes. They also paid tribute to the founder, the servant of God,   RFC Mascarenhas on his 50th death anniversary.

Fr Valerian Pinto and local corporator Mariamma Thomas were the guests of honour. Correspondent Sr Concetta, PTA president Loy Noronha, superior Sr Lisa, headmistress Sr Cicilia Mendonca and Roshni Goveas among others were present.

Prize distribution

‘Opportunities used will help the students to be effective citizens of India’, said K Anand, of Udayavani during the prize distribution ceremony. He said that the students today have many activities in the school and society. Participating in every activity would help to develop their personality.
 
He urged the students to make best use of all the activities that come in their way. PTA president Loy Noronha, English Primary headmistress Sr Jessy Leena, superior Sr Lisa, PTA Executive Committee member Sanjeeva and headmistress Sr Cicilia Mendonca were present on the occasion.
