Allahabad, Dec 13 (IANS) Former Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Neera Yadav, sentenced to a four-year jail term for wrongful allotment of a plot during her tenure as Noida Authority chief, was Monday granted bail by the Allahabad High Court.
Flex Industries chairman Ashok Chaturvedi, who had also been sentenced to four years imprisonment, was also granted bail.
Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Judge A.K. Singh in Ghaziabad had Dec 7 found Yadav, a retired 1997 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, guilty of violating the rules in allotting a 35,000 square metre housing plot in Noida to Flex Industries Ltd in 1994-95 while being the chairperson and CEO of Noida Authority.
