Bantwal: Dist Administration Sets Jan 31 Deadline for Ircon to Complete Road Works

Bantwal, Dec 14: Ircon International Limited, the infrastructure developer that has been executing the four lane work and building flyovers at B C Road here, has been given a week’s deadline to address the public grievances brought about by their ongoing work.

The deadline was issued to Ircon in an extraordinary meeting held here on Monday December 13 by Tahsildar Ravichandra Nayak as per the instructions of deputy commissioner (DC) Subhodh Yadav.

Town councilor B Dinesh Bhandary, Bantwal Urban Development Authority chairman Govind Prabhu, department engineers, Mescom and Ircon officials attended the meeting.

Ircon has been urged to complete the work on the service road by Friday December 31 and also shift the electric poles that are hindering the four lane conversion work.

Discussions were held to construct drains along either side of the road from B C Road circle to Talapady and also to shift the water pipelines. The town councilor informed Ircon officials that the town council will shift the water pipeline if the latter pays the money for that task. :

As regards the laying of flyovers, Ircon has been advised to complete all the work by January 31, 2011.
