New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Tuesday said the issue of alleged involvement of Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in a multi-crore-rupee land allotment scam is being dealt with effectively.
"(The) Party has taken cognizance of the happenings in Karnataka and will deal with it effectively," Advani said at a press conference to announce that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) continues its struggle for a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe in the 2G spectrum allotment scam.
He also announced a rally by the NDA Dec 22 to take the struggle from parliament to the streets.
Yeddyurappa allegedly favoured his close kin with allotment of prime land in and around Bangalore, due to which he came under enormous pressure to resign. The party, however, decided to let him continue.
"I am concerned with my own credibility there. The matter is being dealt with and will be dealt with effectively," Advani added.
