Mangaluru: St Agnes College - Workshop on ZOHO Books enthrals students

Mangaluru, Jan 20: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aims at imparting skill oriented quality education which should make students boost their potential to grab best job opportunities in the corporate sector. To update the students of B.Com and BBA with the latest accounting technology, their curriculum has been upgraded with Zoho Books, which is a leading cloud-based accounting software trusted by business professionals around the world.

In this regard, a workshop has been organised on 19 January 2022 at St Agnes College, Mangaluru to train the first year students of B.Com & BBA on the application of accounting software-Zoho books by an eminent resource person CA Anwesh Shetty, a promising chartered accountant of Mangaluru. This accounting tool helps everyone to manage their finances in a systematic way said Anwesh Shetty while explaining the process of accounting like creating entries of various accounts, sending of invoices, purchase and sales order, inventory tracking and exploring the final reports of profit and loss account and the balance sheet within seconds using the accounting software-Zoho books.

This workshop enabled students to understand the practical aspects of various features of Zoho books. The training gave an opportunity to the new entrants of NEP curriculum to acquire the right skills straight from an expert which made them more happy and delighted.

The coordinator of the workshop Dr Devi Prabha Alva, associate professor of Commerce introduced the resource person and oriented the students on the significance of the workshop. Anusha expressed the words of gratitude and gave a pleasing feedback of the workshop. Elson Hirgan, assistant professor, department of Business Administration was present during the session.
