Mangaluru, Jan 20: The Mangalore University has conferred a Ph D on Kannada lecturer of Moodbidri Alvas Pre University College, Sudharani Shetty for her research thesis.

Sudharani had submitted her theseis, a Tulu translation titled "Varnamaya Samskritika Anusandhanada Nelegalu" under the guidance from Mangalore University SVP Research Centre assistant professor and Ambigara Chaudayya Research Institute convener, Dr R Nagappa Gowda.

Sudharani is an alumnus of Suratkal Govinda Dasa College and the daughter of Katla Damodar Shetty and Sushila Shetty.
