Bengaluru: Police involving in crimes will be dismissed from service - Minister

Bengaluru, Jan 21: Home minister Araga Jnanendra, said that officials or officers who get involved with criminal activities by getting identified with the anti-social elements will face stern action. He said that if found necessary, such people will be dismissed from service.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the construction of Chamarajpet police station and Chikkapet traffic police station. He said that action has been initiated against two policemen posted for the chief minister's security were having direct dealing with the drugs cartel coterie. The minister said that their dereliction duty cannot be tolerated as they bring disrepute to the department.

He said that a handful of people are spoiling the reputation of his department, and that such things cannot be viewed leniently.
