Kasargod, Jan 22: District collector Bhandari Swagat Ranveer Chand, withdrew the ban she had imposed on organizing public programmes in the district within hours of issuing the said order.
She clarified that the said order was cancelled on the basis of a decision to impose restrictions based on the number of covid19 patients getting admitted into hospitals.
However, leaders of various opposition parties have criticized her for this withdrawal, saying that the ban was withdrawn in the light of the district level conference of CPM being held here.
