New Delhi, Dec 16 (IANS) The Supreme Court Thursday said there was prima facie evidence of wrongdoings in the grant of 2G spectrum licences in 2008 and that of dual use technology to some telecom operators in 2007.
The court said the evidence of wrongdoing was supported by the reports of the Central Vigilance Commissioner P.J. Thomas and that of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
The apex court bench of Justice G.S. Singhvi and Justice A.K. Ganguly issued directions to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to hold a comprehensive and coordinated probe into the 2G spectrum scam covering the period from 2007.
