Tottenham's Bryan Gil reaches Valencia for medical

London, Jan 31 (IANS): Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia have reached an agreement for the transfer of Bryan Gil as he arrived in Valencia on Monday to undergo his medical.

Gil joined Tottenham from Sevilla but has failed to settle in at the Premier League club. The 20-year-old has made just 20 appearances for Tottenham totaling 756 minutes. He's failed to score a single goal and has only provided a single assist.

Spurs are undergoing a frantic squad reset on transfer deadline day having so far struggled to bring in top targets. With Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur set to arrive from Juventus, the club have allowed Spanish winger Gil to return to his homeland, standard.co.uk reports.

On Monday, he began his medical for a loan move until the summer. Reports in Spain indicate that Valencia will not pay a fee for his temporary switch, but they will have to hand over bonuses if certain objectives are triggered.

It is also claimed that the terms of an additional season for Gil at the Mestalla are set up, should the clubs want to continue with the arrangement.

Gil came through the youth system at Sevilla but played the most of his early first-team football in two loan spells away from the Sanchez-Pizjuan, at Leganes and Eibar. He's an exciting prospect and has managed to earn four caps for Luis Enrique's Spanish national team and will hope to reboot his career at Mestalla.
