Belagavi, Feb 1: Bannanje Raja and 11 other accused relating to the murder of entrepreneur, R N Nayaka, were produced in the district chief and sessions court on Monday January 31. Elaborate security was arranged on this occasion.
Relating to the murder of R N Nayaka from Ankola, examination of witnesses has already been completed. After the statements of the accused, the process of arguments will begin. In addition to collecting the opinions of the accused about the evidences, statements and allegations, they also are being allowed if they have plans to produce further evidences in the case.
The then western range inspector general of police, Pratap Reddy, additional director general of police, Amrit Paul and retired IPS officer Annamalai had recently appeared in the court and recorded their statements in the case.
So far, over 200 people have been questioned and their statements have been obtained in this case.
