Udupi, Dec 23: Daniel Monteiro, well known philatelist and office staff at SMS College, Brahmavar, bagged the silver medal in the ‘26th International Stamp Exhibition–Joburg– 2010’ held at Johannesburg recently.
He showcased his collections on waterfowls at the exhibition.
Daniel also has bagged several medals at various national and world philatelic exhibitions held earlier. A recipient of the district Rajyotsav Award, several state level and national level honours, Daniel is an active member of the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Philatelists and Numismatics Association.
He also tries to create awareness about the environment by organizing exhibitions in various institutions and organizations.
