Panaji, Feb 3: Sale of liquor is prohibited in the state from February 12 to 15 due to polling and on March 10 as the votes will be counted on that day.

According to the order all the outlets that sell only liquor will be closed. But those who serve food will be open but the bar in those will have to be shut. However, the bar and restaurants who want to operate on the prohibition days have to display no liquor board outside.

In addition on ban on sales, liquor transportation within the state is banned from Feb 12 to 15 and March 10. Families are allowed to stock a maxmum of three quart bottles of IMFL or foreign liquor or six bottles of beer of 650 ml and three quart bottles of country liquor as per the orders of the excise department.
