Udupi, Dec 24: Fr Mathew Vaz, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows parish, here paid a visit to Krishna Mutt ahead of Christmas and also presented Christmas gifts to Swami Laxmivarateerta.

Swami Laxmivarateerta honoured Fr Mathew Vaz by draping a shawl and offered presents.

Mother of Sorrows parish council vice-president Rocky and Krishna Mutt’s diwan Latavya Acharya were present.

    Glad to read the news. Congratulations to both Swami Laxmivarateerta and Fr. Vaz for such a meeting on the eve of Christmas. This is a live example of Peace to all, the message of Christmas and demonstration of the true spirit of Hinduism - of tolerance and acceptance of other beliefs. Congrats also to the leaders who organized this and took the initiative.
