Mumbai: Senior author, journalist Kodu Bhoja Shetty passes away

Mumbai, Feb 5: Senior author, poet and journalist Kodu Bhoja Shetty (82), passed away at his residence, City of Joys, Mulund west on Thursday morning February 3, due to old age. He was a hotelier and indulged in social work with concern.

He has written more than 500 poems and articles and was popular as a comedy poet. Out of 30 dramas created by him, about 15 are published. Kappu Netther drama written by him has received Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy award. He was the editor of Bantara Sangha Mumbai mouthpiece Bantaravani and left behind his wife, two daughters, friends and relatives.

Bunts Sangha Mumbai president Chandrahas K Shetty, vice president Ulthoor Mohandas Shetty, honorary chief secretary Dr R K Shetty, honorary treasurer CA Harish D Shetty and office bearers, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president Dayanand G Kathalsar and members have condoled his death.
