Mangaluru: Day after prayer center's demolition, DCP, MLA visit Panjimogaru ground

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Feb 6: DCP (law and order) Hariram Shankar, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty along with tahsildar and revenue officers on Sunday February 6 visited Panjimogaru ground over the alleged razing of prayer center building run by St Antony Church of Kulur.

Mangaluru MLA Dr Bharath Shetty told reporters, "It is clear that the land belonging to the government was allotted to anganwadi by women and child welfare department in the year 2005, and this has been mentioned in the RTC. There is a triangle shaped land adjacent to government land. This is a converted land and belongs to those who made claims about the stay order. There is nothing to get confused over the land dispute here."

"Rs 16 lac has already been sanctioned for the anganwadi. A few months back foundation stone laying ceremony was expected to take place but was postponed," said the MLA.

DCP Hariram Shankar said, "We will look into whether the building has been razed by the department or by others. We are probing the matter."

Mangaluru tahsildar Purandhar Hegde ruled out communal angle to the land dispute issue. "Some people are trying to create controversy out of this issue. The land belongs to the government and was allotted to the anganwadi in the year 2005 and the building which was demolished was old. Some people have razed the building. If the department has not razed the building, then action will be taken against those responsible. Police are probing the matter."

It is alleged that Shri Satya Korddabbu Seva Samithi, violating the stay order from the court, entered the compound of the prayer center and demolished the building, compound wall, and trees. A complaint was filed by St Anthony Holy Cross Building committee president Antony Prakash Lobo, Cyprian D'Souza, Francis Pinto, and Valerian Lobo against Shri Satya Korddabbu Seva Samithi in Kavoor police station in this regard.

When there is stay order no dcp or mla has role there, immediately dcp or BDp should safeguard the court ruling and arrest the culprits. Most of the anganwadis and police stations in undevided DK became BD office.

It would be a miracle if they would rebuild it and give for free, but probably that's not happening as government is going to take the land for themselves and sell it to others

The court, plaintiff, deafandant and thier lawyers have the complete and specific details about the location of land over which court has put a stay order. Nobody including the govt has the authority to demolish any structure overnight without a valid official notice and time.

Politicians and government officials show off their authority because at the moment they are in power. Let them know that nobody and nothing is permanent whether you belong to ruling party or opposition. Only time will teach them a lesson.

You cannot escape the curse whoever demolished this place. MLA is acting as innocent but looking at his face shows his cunningness. You may have power now but day will come where you will realise your mistake. Hope you understand this well before. Many years ago one man threw stones at church. Priests knew who threw stones. Though there was pressure from people to file a case this priest did not file any case. Next year this man died falling from swing in front of same church during church feast. So no one can escape from their wrong doings.

Those who are acting like innocent & don't know anything in the attached pictures will suffer badly. Because Almighty doesn't want military to protect his place of worships. He need only faith & good heart. Dont take actions against arcotics done to me & my place of worships I have enough strength to take my own revenge but keep faith on me.

Now there will be lof of childish, silly stories floating around by so called responsible people and officials. It’s shame on all those involved as they are all acting ignorant and innocent. The bottom line is there is no justice for minorities in the new India. All of them take Babri masjid demolition and successive legal win as the precedence.

" If the department has not razed the building, then action will be taken against those responsible. Police are probing the matter." Very strange and shameful by Mangaluru Thahsildar. Building demolished and he doesn't know even after a day, whether this was done by their department or not? Any command man understands the motive this demolition and involvement of politicians and responsible officers who are paid on tax payers money, but good for nothing. Building was demolished Saturday afternoon so that being Sunday a public holiday, nothing can be done in government department. It is a well planned crime where politicians role is visible. Most people think anything can be done, but they forget God's judgment that may be little late. When he strike they remain not good for anything. With all these statements in the news, it is sure neither government nor court will do anything further. This case may remain in the files, where only judges will change for the next 25 years or so....

From the statement of MLA without survey or investigation it seems like well planned act of demolition with full knowledge of him. After Ayodhya every disputed land between 2 communities takes precedence as aggresion got dividends instead of waiting for the courts judgements.

It is a simple logic that if the building demolished by the concerned department, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN PIOR NOTICE TO THE ANGANWADI administrators. It never happened but erased all of a sudden without prior notice thus DCP must question to the Shri Satya Korddabbu Seva Samithi.
