Mangaluru, Feb 6: “Media is business today. But every business should have ethics. Similarly media too should follow some ethics. Now a days when I open some dailies, I often feel that, they give unnecessary space to inside page stories on the cover page. This is really a cause of concern,” said Vincent Cutinha, president of Rachana, Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry here.
He was speaking at Bodhi Tree, Jeppu at the anniversary celebrations of Arso, Konkani Monthly and Kittall.com.
He further said, “We the business fraternity need media support. Media houses should work towards creating healthy and harmonious atmosphere in the society, so that business fraternity, professionals and general public feel secured. I know H M Pernal and Wilson Kateel since so many years through their writings. They are discharging their duties as journalists with integrity. We need more such committed journalists for better society”
